Illinois National Bank Announces New Banking Technology
Illinois National Bank announced this week that it is the first financial institution in Sangamon County to provide on-line images to customers the day after their check clears the bank. Their exclusive system allows customers to view an image, front and back, with just a click. That image can then be printed or sent as an e-mail attachment. Another enhancement that recently became available is the ability to e-mail customer statements to them along with images of each of their checks. This statement is the same format as the written statement that customers now receive. However, this process allows customers the ability to receive their statement much faster, while continuing to receive a paper statement in the mail. Illinois National Bank offers both of these services to all INB personal checking and savings customers, free of charge.
The addition of the on-line imaging expands Illinois National Bank’s ability to provide their customer’s with more information, faster! INB currently offers a technological advanced on-line banking system. This Internet based system allows INB customers real-time access to their accounts without the hassles of an 800 number and without having to pay any additional bank fees. The addition of the on-line imaging secures INB’s mission of providing more efficient, yet customer friendly, service to the customers.
Since Illinois National Bank opened its doors in June 1999, it has continued to bring complete commercial services to this community. They have used imaging of checks and deposits that were burned on CD-ROM to not only make researching customer questions more efficient, but also to help commercial customers answer their own customer’s questions. Their advanced check and deposit imaging capability, coupled with their purchase of the NCC Remittance Processing Center, has expanded the scope of commercial services in Springfield. State government, medical groups and universities have found the new INB remittance processing center can increase the speed and ease with which their payments are processed. The electronic images of the deposit and the remittance document then provide an efficient means to research such payments when their customers inquire about the date received.
Illinois National Bank plans to continue to push the envelope in order to bring this community new services. In just a few weeks there are other developments that will offer new ways for customers to get their statements and copies of checks. INB realizes that banking is changing and they want to lead the wave of change.
