Touchdown! INB rooting for high scores

Springfield, Illinois – September 8, 2014: Illinois National Bank is sponsoring Touchdowns for the Table, a promotion tied to local high school football games. For every point scored at the 21 football games broadcast on Sports Radio 1450 and 96.7 The Boss, INB will make a $1 donation to divide between three organizations which, in part, make sure everyone has food during the holiday season.

Touchdowns for the Table proceeds will support these charities:

Friend-in-Deed, providing food at Christmas for needy families in the Springfield area and also makes funds available year-round in the form of cash grants to families who need disaster relief.

Kids Café, a partnership between the Springfield Urban League and the Central Illinois Foodbank, feeds 75-100 children each day. The money raised through Touchdowns for the Table will be used by INB employees to provide each child with nutritious snacks over spring break.

St. Martin de Porres’ mission is to lovingly serve the needy with dignity. The agency provides food to over 140 families each day it is open.

“We had fun with this promotion last year, cheering on the teams and then taking it all the way to state playoffs with three local teams. There’s nothing like having a good time and supporting several worthwhile causes at the same time,” said Sarah Phalen, President and CEO of INB. “Last year each charity received almost $650 each. With the scores we’ve seen early on in the 2015 season, there’s a good chance we’ll surpass that number this year.”
