Sarah grew up in Sherman and is a Williamsville High School graduate. She received a bachelor’s degree in economics from of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and earned an MBA from the University of Illinois at Springfield. Sarah has 20 years' banking experience and is a Certified Treasury Professional.
Sarah is an original member of the management team that brought the second generation of Illinois National Bank into the Springfield market. Employed by the bank since June 1999, she served as senior vice president overseeing all of retail services, marketing, non-lending business services and compliance, and mortgage lending. The INB Board of Directors promoted her to President and CEO Jan. 1, 2011.
In addition to taking on the role of 2015-16 United Way of Sangamon County co-chair, she serves as a director of The Hope Institute for Children and Families and the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum Foundation. In the past, she has worked with not only the United Way, but March of Dimes and professional associations including the Illinois Bankers Association.
